I quite like watching cycling.


Unlike basically every other sport, there's an atmosphere of respecting those involved as incredible athletes alongside the fact that you have your favourite that you want to win. It's also very peaceful.


Until very recently, though, you couldn't see nice cycling in the UK - the Tour of Britain spent most of its time going through rainy cities in the Midlands.


But in 2014, the world's biggest and best cycle race - the Tour de France - decided it was going to begin mere minutes away from me on the train. I went down to have a look and take some photos.
